Autistic Mutual Aid Society Edinburgh (AMASE)
Helping autistic people to help each other
We are an Autistic People’s Organisation based in Edinburgh. All full members are autistic, and our goal is to help autistic people to make each other’s lives better through community events and peer support, advocacy and education.
Full Membership of AMASE is open to autistic adults aged 16 and over in Edinburgh, Lothians and Fife, with members in other nearby areas admitted at the committee’s discretion. Those who don’t fit those criteria are eligible to be Associate Members, provided they support AMASE’s objectives. There is no joining fee. You can join here.
Autistic Rights Group Highland (ARGH)
ARGH is a collective advocacy, lobbying and campaigning group based in the Highlands of Scotland. We are run by and for autistic adults. The ARGH committee and full voting members are all autistic.
ARGH works locally in the Scottish Highlands, nationally across Scotland, the UK and internationally, including through membership of the European Council of Autistic People (EUCAP).
ARGH works in partnership with the Scottish Government by being members of the Autism Strategy Review Group and its sub groups, as a regional delivery partner for the Scottish Government Improving Understanding of Autism programme and is a member of the Cross Party Group on Autism as well as a stakeholder for Nice guidelines relevant to autistic people.
We promote self advocacy for all Autistic people.
