Poll: How Do You Feel When You See An “Autism Awareness” Puzzle Piece Patch (Or Sticker) On An Officer Or First Responder? | #ActuallyAutistic & #ParentsOfAutistics

Two Polls: One For The Autistic Community And One For The Autism Community

These polls are directed at both the Autistic Community and the Autism Community. One is for Autistics only, and the other for non-Autistics who know, love or connect with an Autistic in a professional setting.

Please only vote on the poll that pertains to you. This is to get a look at how the two communities respond to the puzzle imagery on law enforcement and first responder vehicles. This also includes puzzle piece patches on uniforms, or pins or stickers in these spaces using the puzzle piece image.

I’ll be writing an article with the results afterwards and including feedback from voters in the comments area as well. Thank you for your support on this project.

Autistically,

Eve Reiland

The Autism Community Is Not The Autistic Community

* The “autism community” is not the Autistic Community. The autism community was created by non-Autistic led organizations and includes mostly parents, professionals and their friends. Most of what the world knows about autism is sourced from the non-Autistic “autism community.”
