Imus Talks About Bob & Suzanne Wright, and the Combating Autism Act pt 1.

IMUS: Passed the comprised version of the Combating Autism Act. Joe Barton after saying that he would never pass any single-disease legislation, they reached a compromise, with Autism Speaks and one of those other groups, and passed … well it’s probably more good news than bad.

NEWS REPORTER: Well as we say, we think it pushes the ball down the field to some degree.

IMUS: They didn’t have to make the deal, and I didn’t support it, but it’s not up to me. My wife didn’t support it. Her senate didn’t support it. As a result of this, the Wrights who’ve distinguished themselves in all of this stopped talking ot her. Which is disgraceful behavior on their part after she worked tirelessly and so did I to help them get where they are. They dont have to explain thsi to me they ahve to explain it to their kid and grandkid and all of that. So, it’s disgraceful behavior on their part.

But the bill does a lot of things, and one of the things it does it gets it on the record that it’s important to get this environmental research be done. Unfortunately the bill took out the specific funds to

NEWS REPORTER: Ear marked fro that

IMUS: for that specific research that nih be required to the NIEHS …

NEWS REPORTER: But it put the ball on the tee

IMUS: It became more about getting somethign passed than it did about doing the right thing.

You have to look at it from their standpoint too. You can’t be, you have to live in the real world. We dont have an Autistic child. We only wanted to help because they wanted us to.

You do what you can do, and at some point people don’t want you to help them anymore and that’s fine too, but then you have to understand, some of these people … If you take money from the pharmaceutical industry and if you’re involved with companies that are responsible for polluting the environment why would you want to support legislation that might find people your in bed with culpable?

You just, me you have to function in life. You do what you can do and make comprises. And so the bottom line is ..

NEWS REPORTER: You know what they did, they didnt run the ball back again, they called for a fair catch. That’s exactly what they did.

IMUS: They took it to the five yard line for them, its first down and plenty of time yet, and kick a field goal.

However, it’s good news for the millions of these parents and people who greatly suffer, One thing they have to stop saying si tey wish their kids had cancer it’s worse than …. It’s stupid. it’s stupid to say that. stop saying that. you dont know what the hell you’re talking about

NEWS REPORTER: You don’t distinguish yourself with that at all.

IMUS: And you don’t distinguish yourself in your behavior. In terms of how you comport yourself with people who help you. it’s disgraceful.

NEWS REPORTER: Flag on that

IMUS: it’s a long road

Imus Talks About Bob And Suzanne Wright pt. 2

IMUS: On MSNBC yesterday The House and Joe Barton allowed a comprismised version of the Combating Autism Act to be voted on in the House and it passed. The good news is that while it’s a watered down version of the Senate bill, what it did do it provides clear cut recognitiion of this disorder, and its the first step in government acknowledgement that there is an envioronmental factor in the stunning increase incidences of autism

The bad news is they reached a compromise, because Bob and Suzanne Wright and the people at Autism Speaks and CAN (Cure Autism Now) – here’s what irritates me about this, I know a lot of people aren’t going to like this but I dont care – they enlisted the aid of my wife and me. We don’t have a dog in this poker game. We are just trying to help kids.

And we went riding around in a limo looking to do this either btw, but they enlisted her help and I don’t know how many times she went down to Washington to help me get this through the Senate. And I spent an inordinate amount of time talking about it on this radio program and I can tell you about a bunch of advertisers i have and a bunch of listerners are not interested in me sitting here talking about autism. They’re just not.

But i didnt care about that, and I didnt think – and I felt entitled to take the position and I am entitled to take the position because of what I did to help them get this thing passed — and they can delude themselves all they want but they’d never got anywhere if I didn’t scream about it and those are the facts.

If Diedre hadn’t gone down there and raised hell with them. They’d take her down there and take the choke chain off of her. I told her from day one these people will use you until they don’t need you anymore and then they’ll be out of the foxhole. She said she understood that. It wasn’t about making friends with people. it was about doing the right thign and about helping these kids.

I didn’t think they should just simply based on my participation in this whole process . I thought it was idiotic to reach a compromise with Joe Barton or any one else when it wasn’t necessary. What they took out of the bill was the 45 million dollars that was desginated to go to the NIEHS which is an arm of the NIH that is responsible for environmental research.

There was that specific amount of money mandating them to do the environmental studies

NEWS ANCHOR: and to spend that figure earmarked for that destination

IMUS: For these specific environmental factors that may or may not, may or may not, may or may not, in

NEWS REPORTER: That specifity is whats gone now out of the

IMUS: The 21 centers of excellence they were going ot have they’ve dropped out now. On the positive side it advances the ball down the field. Joe Barton said he’d never sign off on a single disease bill and he did. Reach a compromise, who knows why.

At the end of the day in all of this, it isn’t what the bill does or doesnt do … it’s how the people particularly at Autism Speaks and CAN , responded and how .. were they principled were they honorable and were they truthful in their negotions with parents and with activists? They ultimately got everybody to sign on but they could not bully my wife, or the Deirdre Imus Environmental Center, to sign on to something she did not belive in. And when they couldn’t force her to do that they stopped talking to her – which is absolutely reprehensible disgraceful behavior

NEWS REPORTER: You’d never been there

IMUS: And I live in the real world. I undrestand if you work for a company that dumped a bunch of PCBs into the Hudson river and polluted half the planet, why would you want to support research that might find your company culpable for contributing to the epidemic of autism? You wouldn’t.

If you’re on the payroll of the pharnmaceutical industry either as a lobbyist or taking money from them for whatever reason, why would you want to invest money into the vaccine? Why would you want the vaccine language left in the bill? You wouldn’t.

It comes down to shabby treatment, but it’s not about us, but ultimately it is, because they all can say what they want to say. They don’t have to explain to me, and they dont have to explain anything to Deidre. They have to explain it to these kids and to these parents, because they sold out the entire community, and while it isn’t a bad thing all together, it was unprincipled disgraceful disloyal and dishonest behavior. Particulary in terms of how they dealt with us. –

But I went into this knowing what this deal was so they dont ever have to talk to me. I don’t need to talk to them.

NEWS REPORTER: They used you until they used you up.

IMUS: They really owe her an apology and I know they dont like it but you know what I dont care.

Autistic people have fought the inclusion of ABA in therapy for us since before Autism Speaks, and other non-Autistic-led autism organizations, started lobbying legislation to get it covered by insurances and Medicaid.

ABA is a myth originally sold to parents that it would keep their Autistic child out of an institution. Today, parents are told that with early intervention therapy their child will either be less Autistic or no longer Autistic by elementary school, and can be mainstreamed in typical education classes. ABA is very expensive to pay out of pocket. Essentially, Autism Speaks has justified the big price tag up front will offset the overall burden on resources for an Autistic’s lifetime. The recommendation for this therapy is 40 hours a week for children and toddlers.

The original study that showed the success rate of ABA to be at 50% has never been replicated. In fact, the study of ABA by United States Department of Defense was denounced as a failure. Not just once, but multiple times. Simply stated: ABA doesn’t workIn study after repeated study: ABA (conversion therapy) doesn’t work.

What more recent studies do show: Autistics who experienced ABA therapy are at high risk to develop PTSD and other lifelong trauma-related conditions. Historically, the autism organizations promoting ABA as a cure or solution have silenced Autistic advocates’ opposition. ABA is also known as gay conversion therapy.

The ‘cure’ for Autistics not born yet is the prevention of birth.

The ‘cure’ is a choice to terminate a pregnancy based on ‘autism risk.’ The cure is abortion. This is the same ‘cure’ society has for Down Syndrome.

This is eugenics 2021. Instead of killing Autistics and disabled children in gas chambers or ‘mercy killings’ like in Aktion T4, it’ll happen at the doctor’s office, quietly, one Autistic baby at a time. Different approaches yes, but still eugenics and the extinction of an entire minority group of people.

Fact: You can’t cure Autistics from being Autistic.

Fact: You can’t recover an Autistic from being Autistic.

Fact: You can groom an Autistic to mask and hide their traits. Somewhat. … however, this comes at the expense of the Autistic child, promotes Autistic Burnout (this should not be confused with typical burnout, Autistic Burnout can kill Autistics), and places the Autistic child at high risk for PTSD and other lifelong trauma-related conditions.

[Note: Autism is NOT a disease, but a neurodevelopmental difference and disability.]

Fact: Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism.
