Jenny McCarthy Press Tour for “Louder Than Words”

People Magazine: The cover has a photo of Jenny McCarthy and her son. The headline for the story inside is: Fighting for my autistic son. Circa April 2007.

In her emotional new memoir, Louder Than Words, Jenny McCarthy documents life with her 5-year-old son Evan, who was first diagnosed three years with having autism. And in the latest PEOPLE cover story, she talks about his remarkable progress with the boy, thanks to some controversial therapies she found.

โ€œI donโ€™t want to come across like a preacher,โ€ says McCarthy, 34. โ€œAll Iโ€™m doing is showing there are things you can do to ease autism.โ€ Of how Evan has advanced, she says, โ€œAt 3 he had the skills of a 1-year-old. [Now] people are shocked when they meet him.โ€

While Evanโ€™s condition took a toll on her life, McCarthyโ€™s marriage to his father, John Asher, was brought โ€œto an inevitable end,โ€ she says.

But now thereโ€™s another man in her life: Jim Carrey, 45, whom McCarthy has been dating for more than a year in what she calls โ€œa beautiful relationship โ€“ and Iโ€™m glad to say there are three of us in it.โ€

At first, it took time to introduce her son to Carrey, she recalls, โ€œBut Jim reacted better than anyone ever did. He was intrigued. He asked questions. โ€ฆ Beyond doubt it was written in the stars that Jim and Evan were a pair. Heโ€™s actually helped Evan get past some obstacles I couldnโ€™t.โ€

Warning: This is quackery. “Natural” and other products and pseudoscience practices promoted for ‘healing, recovery, cure’ have harmed and even killed Autistics worldwide.

Now these extremist fringe groups have expanded to gaslight the public on COVID-19 ‘cures, healing, recovery” and many other arenas.

The Autistic Community is very familiar with quack cults like this … we’ve been battling the same group who has had many identifying names like: Mercury Mob/Mafia, Antivaxxers, BleachCult, and many more. These folks and organizations also battle Autistics over our civil and human rights. The names change, but the people, for the most part, remain the same.

Fact: Autistics are not vaccine-injured and Vaccines do not cause autism.

PSA: Don’t Drink Bleach.
