2010 Central Valley Walk Now for Autism Speaks
What a great day for Autism Speaks! It is always heartwarming for us to see the sea of walkers all with beautiful t-shirt and inspirational signs walking together. We enjoyed talking to the families and walkers, catching -up with long time supporters and meeting those new to the walk.We are very pleased to report that our walk brought in just over $100,000 thanks to your fantastic fundraising efforts!
However, we know we can do better! Last year, we raised $140,000 and I know that we can surpass that number this year with each of your help!
Walkers are asked to send out two more communications:
Send one more letter or e-mail to those WHO HAVEN’T donated.
Use Sample E-Mails or write your own to motivate people to action.
Chris from Fresno reports that her team received over 15 additional donations after the Walk last year.
Update your DONORS about the success of the Walk and thank them once again for helping Autism Speaks. At our walk, we had over 2000 participants! If only 20% of those walkers, or 400 people, raised an additional $100.00…we would be at our goal!
Imagine how easy it will be to go down the street or send that email to your friends and family and ask each person to donate just $10.00. Ten people give $10 apiece, 400 enthusiastic walkers who support the mission of Autism Speaks=$40,000!
I know you can make the difference!
We are so proud you. At the beginning of this year’s Walk campaign we asked you to educate, communicate and motivate.
You’ve done a great job.Have an idea on how we can make the Walk better? Please answer some simple questions on our survey and we’ll try to do just that!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for all you have done!
