Congratulations, you have raised over $75,000 so far! All eyes are on you, Modesto! There are nearly 1,000 people registered to participate in this exciting first-year event. It’s still not too late to register or join a team, and share in the excitement!The perfect example of this is the winner of September’s fundraising incentive, Tessa Zertuche! Tessa registered, got her personal page set up and sent out lots of emails, and raised $1,275 in one week, winning the $30 gift card to Hands-On Educational Supply Store, and joining the Grand Club in one fell swoop!

We have been busily crunching numbers as the donations continue to fly in. As of last night, we have determined that if each registered walker raises another $25 in the next 2 weeks, we will easily hit our goal of $100,000 by Walk Day! Just $25. Can you help? This week’s special fundraising incentive is a $25 gift certificate to Nutcracker Sweete’s Bear Factory in Modesto. Notice the stakes are getting higher? The person who raises the most money ONLINE from today, Friday, October 3, to Friday, October 10,will win this neat prize! Get in on the action and start collecting those donations today! The Joshua Show continues to captivate audiences! Clinton’s Crusaders is still in it at the #2 Team Spot. ABC, Inc., and newbies Carson’s Court and Garrett’s Gang round out our Top 5 Teams this week.
Stacey Filippi continues to reign as the Top Individual Fundraiser, with Clinton McCauley and Cara & Scott Houlding in the #2 and #3 spots. Newcomers Christy Acheson and Tessa Zertuche have joined the group this week. Can Lewis Archuletta of Team Aloha catch them? Who will we see atop the pack come Walk day? Stay tuned…

Win a $2,000 gift certificate!
The Central Valley Walk Planning Committee is selling entries into an opportunity drawing for a $2,000 gift certificate to Hill Center for Integrative Medicine, to be used for hyperbaric oxygen treatments or Methyl-B12 injections.* Tickets are $10 apiece or 3 for $20 and can be purchased from the Walk committee, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
All proceeds benefit Autism Speaks, and the winner will be announced at the opening ceremonies of the Walk on October 18th. Winner need not be present to win!
