run – Poetry Of An Aspergian

Listen to my demons

They tell me to run away

I have so much to offer the world

Why must my home be the grave

Repetition so there’s not a word I’m missin’

Tryna plug my ears so I do not listen

Steal the knife out my hand

So that there’s no ascension

The devil’s dancing in the morning light

My impulses draw me to the sight

Lord help me, I think I’m going blind

There’s never, ever a time

When I feel just fine

I’m always hurting somewhere deep inside

And the comforts of so-called friends

Is a black hole of trivialities and lies

Somebody tells me to give it up

Someone tells me I’ve never have the One

And if they’re true, I’ll never have you

Then what can I do to make sure

They can’t have it too
