Bill to support all people with autism passes in General Assembly | WSET

LYNCHBURGA, Va. (WSET) — A bill to raise the age cap on health coverage for those with autism passed in the General Assembly Wednesday. The bill would extend healthcare to to about 10,000 Virginian’s with autism. With the removal of the age cap, healthcare services will expand to people for the duration of their lives. The bill is now headed to the governor, and will take effect on January 1, 2020 if signed into law.
