EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. (KCRA) —
An El Dorado Hills school decided to retire it certification following the death of a 13-year-old student with special needs, officials said.
Guiding Hands School said in a statement Monday that its “decision to surrender our certification is in the best interest of and for the benefit of our students, their parents, and our staff.”
“This decision allows another Nonpublic School the opportunity to take over the GHS facilities and property, hire GHS former staff and, most importantly, allow many of the GHS students to return to the same loving environment which they called their second home,” school officials said in the statement. …
