Faith and Depravity – Jake Allen Sharp

Deep is the depravity I try to hide

Damn this Wickedness that lives inside

I cling to the broken chains

Finding pleasure in the pain

The promises that I made

Why am I so afraid?

Is my faith deeper than depravity

Am I living in the make believe

What happens in reality

In the light for the world to see

As for the questions, I avoid them

Sometimes I do not even give a damn

Sin is planted like a seed

I cut myself so to bleed

Through the night I cry

Promise that I will try

Is my faith deeper than depravity

Am I living in the make believe

What happens in reality

In the light for the world to see

Scars on my soul that I give to me

Cover them with smiles so no one will see

I know I have been found

I am no longer bound

I am not a slave to sin

But somehow I slip again

Is my faith deeper than depravity

Am I living in the make believe

What happens in reality

In the light for the world to see
