Stones of Collin Creek – Jake Allen Sharp

Stones at Collin Creek, would skip across the water

Adventures I would seek, walking with my father

On summer evenings as the sun was going down

From the nature trail we would listen to the sounds

I still find peace when walk down by the trees

Beside the living waters of my memories

I do not know what it is that I came to seek

As I walk along the stones at Collin Creek

I bent down and picked up a rock from the ground

I’m sure it was here back then and it is still around

As I kid I ran right past it, many evenings that I spent

Truth is solid as a stone and it is permanent

I still find peace when walk down by the trees

Beside the living waters of my memories

I do not know what it is that I came to seek

As I walk along the stones at Collin Creek

I put the rock in my pocket to take home with me

To remind me of the man that I aspire to be

Through a gate into a little field of stone

I can’t believe that my dad is really gone

I still find peace when walk down by the trees

Beside the living waters of my memories

I do not know what it is that I came to seek

As I walk along the stones at Collin Creek

I still find peace when walk down by the trees

Beside the living waters of my memories

I do not know what it is that I came to seek

As I walk along the stones at Collin Creek
