DUUUVAL!:  A Crash Course In The True Origin of This Rallying Cry
Late last year, I was petitioning for the Second Chances Amendment initiative at the Jacksonville Beaches  Annual Craft Beer Festival.   I noticed a young gentleman selling t-shirts which featured the “DUUUVAL!” rally cry.   I could be wrong but this gentleman didn’t look as old as me, nor did he appear to have any ties to the local, urban hip-hop community. Bottom line: “DUUUVAL!” was started by people in the local, urban, hip-hop community of Jacksonville, FL in the 1990s. This rally cry was given a higher profile at the time by local disc jockey Easy E of then FM 92.7 The Beat.
