When Train Had Names

Jake Allen Sharp

When trains had names and people had pride

Even the poor could be dignified

Never would we ever run and hide

We would always stand up and fight

There was a spirit we all held high

As freedom rings, Old Glory flies

An eagle soars across the sky

United we stand by and by
Memories of Americana

Red Bandana hopes of what might be

Willie on the City of New Orleans

Sunrises in my thoughts and dream
